A Note to Patrons Coming from Patreon
Welcome to the new site I promised
Hello!
As you can see I’ve been working very hard to create a new site for all my content. So far, I’m working to get all my free content from NexusMods moved over to this site. What does this mean for my future on NexusMods? It means that nothing there will be up-to-date and all my mods will be located here and on Patreon (in the case of my premium mods).
You don’t need to subscribe here if you are a Patron already on Patreon.
In the future, I do hope to move my premium mods from Patreon to this site. That is a logistical challenge that shall wait until it is done absolutely perfect. For now, this site only contains free content. I will let everyone know when I figure out how to organize this transfer. I’ll likely be reaching out to you on Patreon to discuss how you feel about it. If it turns out that folks prefer I have both this site and Patreon, I will just leave the premium mods there and keep the free stuff here as a replacement for NexusMods.
I know it all sounds a bit confusing. If you are looking for the reasons why I’m not working with NexusMods anymore, well there are quite a few, but I’ll list the main things that pop into my head right now:
NexusMods has far too much control of the modding scene. The latest rule changes allowing them to “own” the content I upload doesn’t sit well with me. It’s my work and my content.
The amount of money they make off my mods compared to what they pay me is just awful. I’m getting less than pennies to the dollar they make. The fact that they campaign for free mods and then charge a subscription for faster downloads shows that they are making money off mods too. Just like they have bills to pay to run their business, I also have bills to pay to support my wife and I. I was willing to deal with this, but for reason #1 above.
NexusMods has a very selective administration team. They let some folks get away with breaking the rules, and punish others. A lot of it has to do with how many mods you have or how friendly you are with their team.
They won’t allow me to link my Patreon site. I don’t think there is any justifiable reason for them to control my means to make a living.
Finally, for my voiced follower mods, the voice actresses licensed me and only me for the mods we have created together. So, back to #1 above, Nexus claiming they “own” a mod that the voice is licensed just to me breaks the license agreement between me and the voice actor/actress. So far, none of them have approached me for breaking the license, but I will have to remove all my voiced followers from NexusMods.
If you read all of that, I really appreciate it! Please leave me feedback about this new site and your thoughts on my Patreon site. Have a great day!

I honestly think you should host the free content here while continuing to host the paid content on Patreon. Ultimately the decision is yours but having to cancel a Patreon membership & move it here would be a major hassle IMHO. Regardless, I like the new site.
I completely understand and support your decision to move your work off NexusMods. Creators deserve control over their own content, fair compensation, and a platform that respects the agreements you’ve made with collaborators.
It’s clear you’ve put a lot of care into building a space where your work can thrive without the restrictions and uneven policies you’ve faced. I appreciate the transparency about the transition and the effort you’re putting into doing it right — especially with the logistical side of premium mods and licensing.
Wherever your mods end up, I’ll keep following and supporting your work. You’ve always delivered quality content, and you deserve a platform that treats you and your collaborators fairly.
Keep doing what’s best for you — your community will be here for the ride.
As Skyrim is my official "lifetime" game, meaning I ALWAYS return to it, I often worry that its modding community is becoming, idk fractured perhaps? I am not sure that is the best way of saying it, but maybe you understand. Maybe I am just getting old and out of touch. I miss the olden days, often. The comradery of it all. Mod authors spending a LOT of time explaining how to do things, most of them new things we had never seen or used. It took weeks, for some months, before they could ever get FNIS to work lol. and they were right there, explaining in detail. Now days people drop a mod, and if you just can't wrap your head around how to get it to do what you want, and dare ask a question, some smartass pops up, like the confused person is some entitled asshole DEMANDING time. Had today's community been what the community started out with 10-15 years ago, Skyrim would not be what it is today. I doubt we would have ever seen the AE version, and I know we would never have seen the paid mods section. I truly understand mod authors frustrations with people not reading, like almost anything, and with the intro of collections, people don't really endorse like they once used to do not giving exposure to great mods.
I am in your corner my friend. Since you have been around, my game LONG evolved Into ColdRim lol. I am sure you have thought this through; I am curious if you are in your own little "Corner" or world, will new players find their way to you? Nexus is a lot of things, but they are like a warehouse, or a feeding trough, where people get a taste and want more. At any rate, keep up the great work!
